Robotic Brisket Cutter
The SCOTT Automated Robotic Brisket Cutter machine, which utilises a circular breaking saw fitted with a dustless micro toothed blade, replaces manual brisket shear operations for lamb, sheep and goat processing.
This design allows for the significant reduction in saw dust, ensuring a clean and accurate cut or the brisket or breastbone. Offering a typical payback of less than 2 years, the Robotic Brisket Cutter fulfils the majority of meat cutting automation requirements.
Benefits:
- Line Speed – can operate at +10/min
- Species – Lamb, Sheep & Goat Processing
- OH&S – reduced injuries and accidents
- Productivity/Efficiencies – improved process eliminates incidence of internal organ puncture
- Accuracy – briskets cut on centre
- Yield Gain – reduced trimming & rework
- Hygiene– proven reduction in contamination compared to manual operations
Beef Rib Cutter / Scriber
SCOTT Technology understands that scribing is the first point at which yield can be lost during the process of boning beef. Implementation of an automated beef scribing solution, such as the Robotic Beef Scriber, can provide the accuracy required to maximise your yield, removing the safety risks and loss of yield associated with the use of unskilled labour.
The Robotic Beef Scriber utilises a robot mounted scribing saw, combined with X-ray (DEXA), 3d scanners and colour vision cameras to accurately establish positions and profiles prior to cutting.
- Labour saving of approximately 2-3 operators per working shift
- OH&S – eliminates risk of strain, injury & trauma from using dangerous equipment
- Improved processing efficiencies – less rework due to consistent and repeatable operations
- Increased Yield Gain – consistency and quality of operation leads to smooth downstream operations
- Reduced Contamination – reduced contamination compared to manual operations
Standalone Chine
The SCOTT Lamb Chining machine is designed to safely remove the chine from rack saddles, using proprietary ‘Chine Rider’ technology and eliminating bandsaw hazards, resulting in a top-quality product with a high yield at consistent throughput.
The Standalone Lamb Chine Machine uses the same technology as the chine station in the SCOTT Middle system but without the need for other automated infrastructure, making it suitable for smaller processors, or those who are not yet ready to make the leap to full automation.
Independent testing has shown that the Lamb Chine Machine consistently produces higher yield of up to 5 grams per carcass over manual bandsaws and other leading chine removal machines.
Benefits:
- Increased Yield
- Safe operation
- Consistent Throughput
- Easily integrated
Striploin Saw
SCOTT Striploin Saws are specially designed with a sliding table, angled blade, laser guides, control handles and an emergency stop, to deliver the safest and most efficient means of removing the striploin from the chine bone.
The SCOTT Striploin Saw allows the boner to keep their hands a safe distance from the bandsaw blade, as well as set the best cut profile with a laser line assisting them. The design of the Striploin Saw means it requires less strength and skill than traditional saws and produces consistent neat and straight cuts.
Benefits:
- Increased safety features
- Workforce flexibility
- Easy, accurate cutting
- Increased yield
- Improved product quality
Kidney Fat Removal
TThe SCOTT T Robotic Kidney Fat Removal system replaces the manual kidney fat removal process for smallstock, lamb and sheep processing, ensuring less rework in boning after chilling.
With an increased yield of around 11%, the Robotic Kidney Fat Removal System offers a payback of less than 2 years, inclusive of labour savings, operating costs, OH&S and other benefits.
Benefits:
- Labour saving of approximately 1 to 2 operators per working shift
- Line Speed – +10 carcasses per min
- Species – Lamb Sheep and Goat processing
- OH&S – reduced injuries and accidents
- Productivity – ensure fat removal from every carcass
- Efficiency – less rework for removal of kidney fat in boning after chilling
- Increased Yield – removal of more fat prior to weighing “+11%”
- Hygiene – microbiological tests prove reduced contamination compared to manual operations
